THE GREAT BEAUBEARS ISLAND PICNICÂ AND FARMERS MARKET
July 14th, 2024
Mark your calendars for the Beaubears Island Picnic and Farmers Market on Sunday, July 14th from 12 PM to 5 PM, where a day of delightful experiences awaits in Nelson. Help celebrate over 150 years of Beaubears Picnics, and enjoy a scenic day on Beaubears Island for $15 a person, covering your meal and ferry service to and from the Island! Meanwhile, the mainland hosts a vibrant farmers market in the Bi-Centennial Park, featuring vendors selling fresh local produce, art, baked goods, and so much more. Admission to the market and Interpretive Centre is free, making it a perfect summer outing for the whole family!

Catch a ride on the Beaubears Island Ferry, The Rustler, to our sister site at Wilson’s Point! Take a tour on Beaubears Island, and finish off the afternoon with a scone in the church at The Point - a perfect way to get from Nelson to the Enclosure!

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Friends of Beaubears Island at the Bi-Centennial Park in Nelson on August 24th from 12 to 7 PM. The event features the Tours Through Time Reunion Tour on Beaubears Island, offering a fascinating glimpse into the island's rich history. Back on the mainland, enjoy a lively atmosphere with a BBQ, canteen, and live music in the park. This milestone celebration promises a day of fun, food, and entertainment for the whole community.
